I don't know how the seasons are officially dated and which calendar date is earmarked for autumn to turn into winter, but I don't need to know. I can tell. The biting, crisp, ice-cold air that makes the tips of your ears and fingers burn is characteristic of the onset of winter, and in my opinion a more telling sign than how short the days have gotten or the clocks going back an hour.

(17/11/2025)
I decided to hit my College gym as soon as it opened at 7 a.m. this morning to get a head start to the day. I wore the usual softshell jacket I've been wearing out most days for the past two months except for the days with bad weather, but I realised that it just was not enough anymore the second I set foot outside. The temperature has suddenly plummeted. Maybe I missed the transition because it's been pissing rain the past few days, but it's suddenly so cold– exactly the brand of cold I've come to associate with winter, not autumn.
